“Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – A. A. Milne, “Winnie the Pooh”
In life there will be obstacles and hardships that will make you question yourself, that will make you question your ability to continue on despite the struggle. But even so, you’ve got to know that you’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
And if you just believe in yourself and have a little hope, you can make it through anything.
“Everybody is a genius But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” – Unknown
You can’t be perfect. No one can really. And you’ve got to know your limits, you’ve got to know just how much you can do, and how much you can’t, because otherwise you’re just going to frustrate yourself, running around in circles reaching for impossible goals.
And just because you can’t do the impossible, just because you’re not Superman, that doesn’t make you stupid. After all, everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
So know your limits, and don’t be too hard on yourself for not being able to have it all. You’re smarter than you think, and if you just keep moving forward and try not to expect too much of yourself, you will get there someday. I know it.
“Be a fruit loop in a bowl of cheerios.” – Unknown
Fitting in isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
When you are unique, and irreplaceable, you bring a certain charm and quality that cannot be exchanged for anything. You become interesting, one-of-kind, and that’s something far better than any sort of fitting in ever could be.
So be weird and have fun, life’s better that way.
“It’s going to be hard, but hard is not impossible.” – Chuck Palahniuk
It’s going to be hard, chasing your dreams, living your life. But it still won’t be impossible.
You can do anything you work for, anything you put in the time and effort towards. You see, when you work your ass off for something, consistently without ever giving up, no matter how insane or how unreal it may seem, that thing becomes possible.
Just believe in yourself and never give up no matter how difficult things become, because nothing is ever impossible, trust me.
“Someone once told me not to bite off more than I can chew. I told them I’d rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity.” – Unknown
There is absolutely no point in living a life of mediocrity, a life of nothing but sheer survival, living day-to-day, paycheck-to-paycheck, never happy about anything.
Such a life is a waste, and such a person to live that life cannot be truly living. For what use and what joy can come out of life with no true direction or purpose or determination of any sort?
That’s why we all must strive for greatness, strive for even the wildest of our dreams to come true, because it’s possible and if not for that purpose, what use would it be to stay alive?
Exactly. So keep listen to this quote, and keep that sentiment locked in your heart, because if I were you, I’d rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity.
“You may delay, but time will not.” – Benjamin Franklin
Time is constant and unforgiving. If you do not seize the moment now, you’ll never get it back.
So live every day in the present and never hesitate to go out and get what you want, because time is running out, and for all of us, it’s now or never.
“Worrying is like a rocking chair, it will give you something to do, but it won’t get you anywhere.” – Unknown
Simply worrying does nothing for you, it just works up your blood pressure and gives you something to obsess over.
However, taking action gets you everywhere, because then you’re doing something, and you’re fixing your problem instead of just worrying about.
So don’t bother with worry, get out there and do something, because worry is like a rocking chair, it will give you something to do, but it won’t get you anywhere.
Consistency is key to achieving anything. You see, when you work towards something, even if it’s just an inch closer every day, eventually all of those tiny inch advancements add up. And before you know it, you’re right where you always wanted to be.
So never underestimate the power of small improvements and never give up, because after all, it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.
“Spoon feeding in the end teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon.” – E. M. Forster
Life is easy when you’ve got somebody to always hold your hand and show you the way. But, if you always have that, you never learn to live your own life and succeed on your own.
And it’s true, spoon feeding in the end teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon. That’s why it’s important to strike out on one’s own, and learn to live by oneself, because otherwise we learn nothing, and we can never grow into the great human beings we were meant to be.
So don’t be afraid to make mistakes and let go of that guiding hand sometime, and parents, don’t be afraid to let your child make mistakes and let go of your guiding hand. In the end, it will all pay off, because all that you learn on your own and all that you gain by yourself can be more valuable than anything else in the world.
“Our greatness weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try one more time.” – Thomas Edison
Failure is terrible. It beats you down and crushes your soul, especially when you put your all into something and still manage to fail.
But failure is not the end of the world, in fact it’s really not that bad. You see, every one of our failures is nothing more than a learning experience on our journey to success, because without them, we’d never improve, and without improving, we’d never succeed. So really failure is the reason anyone succeeds.
So do not see them as the worst, because if you just get up and try again, this time a little bit better for it, eventually you’ll succeed.
“The moment where you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever being able to do it.” – J. M. Barrie, “Peter Pan”
It’s never a matter of whether or not it’s possible, it’s always a matter of whether or not you believe it to be. That’s why it’s important for you to believe in yourself, because the moment you stop to doubt whether or not you can fly, you cease for ever being able to do it. So remember that, and know that there is no dream too unreal, no goal too high, and nothing in the world you can’t do if only you believe in yourself.
“Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” – Stephen King
You could be the most talented person in the world, that by itself won’t make you successful. You see, the most intelligent geniuses are only ever recognized as such when they work hard to achieve.
And so if you want to be successful in your life, and recognized for your talent, you’ve got to always strive to be on top and always remember that talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.
“You don’t want to look back and know you could’ve done better.” – Unknown
Some of the worst things in life are regrets because you can never turn back the clock and change the past, you’re just stuck with it, so your regrets haunt you until the very day you die.
That’s why you can’t be afraid to take what you desire, say what you feel, and always strive for excellence, because in the end, you don’t want to look back and know you could’ve done better.
So do just that, and keep this quote close to you always, because you only have one shot.
“Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities—always see them, for they’re always there.” – Norman Vincent Peale
Become a possibilitarian. I like that word, it’s fun, and you should listen to the sentiment behind it, because it’s true. There are possibilities everywhere, in everything, endlessly. Even in the darkest of times, they are there, there is always another way and another choice, if only you look to see it.
So always remember that, and don’t give up, because even for the worst of predicaments there’s always a solution.
You just have to find it.
“Make yourself proud.” – Peter W. Smith
People care too much about what other people think. That’s what I think. And hey I’m guilty of that too. But we should all know that in the end, the only person whose opinion truly matters is you. And yes, you should care what your loved ones think too, but still you’re the one who has to live with you.
And so, live your life how you want to, and live with no regrets, because when you do that, and you make yourself proud, not much else really matters.
“If Plan A didn’t work, the alphabet has 25 more letters.” – Unknown
Just because one plan doesn’t work and you fail, doesn’t mean you should give up. There’s always more than one way to do something, more than one solution to any given problem, all you have to do is find it.
So always remember that if Plan A doesn’t work, the alphabet has 25 more letters, and never give up, because there’s always another way out.
“When something goes wrong in your life, just yell, “PLOT TWIST,” and move on.” – Unknown
When you look at everything in a positive light, it’s really hard to stay unhappy, so why not try it?
When something goes wrong in your life, just yell, “PLOT TWIST,” and move on. Make a joke out of it and it can’t be too terrifying, can it?
Right so learn to laugh at your problems and see everything with rose-tinted glasses. You just might find yourself that much happier for it.
“There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.” – Unknown
Before achieving anything, there will be failures, there will be setbacks, there will be times where life just sucks and all we want to do is give up. But that doesn’t mean we should.
You know, there is no elevator to success, there is no easy way up, you have to take the stairs, and you have struggle, and be frustrated, and fail from time to time.
But above all, you have to keep going, because even though this staircase to success is laden with holes and spiked steps, if you just keep moving, one day you’ll make it to the top, and when you do, you’ll have one hell of a view.
So, what is it that you or your kids need motivation for? I’d really love to know down in the comment section below.
